GF Police Get Grant

In breaking news today, the Great Falls Police Department will receive a federal grant in the amount of $837,148. They will be able to hire four new officers.

According to the article, during the first three years of the grant, the officers salaries and benefits will be covered 100%. In the fourth year, the city will have to retain the positions.

How do you think this will affect the levy, of which more than a quarter of the ballots have already been returned?

Once again our city management and now the police department hiding the facts from the public. This is NUTS!!!!

Business as usual with these bold face liars. I suppose the new water boy knew nothing about this either. Coleen pretty much keeps him in his place when it comes to big boy chores.

Wake up voters, the pick pockets are at work.

I did not know we were in the running for 800,000.00. I do know that the GFPD is always applying for grants.

Mary,

I figured you were kept out of the loop on this (and who knows what else) as they hate questions......

This is another example of the low handedness of our corrupt current leadership.

This should have been brought up for discussion during the budget hearings as our Chiel of Police certainly knew he had applied for this grant.....That fish smell at silly hall is pretty foul!

What a bunch of paranoid goons!

I remember this being discussed or reported in the Tribune, I also remember the Chief of Police stating that if approved the levy would be decreased according to any grants received.

Funny how the Commissioner Jolly did not know about this.

Jolley doesn't know about a lot of things - she is so busy trying to prove that everyone else is a crook or a fool, that she doesn't ask the right questions. Go back to Pittsburg - give us a great gift on your birthday. We would be rid ye!
