Small Victory

I've been advised that it was City Manger Doyon who directed one of the officers to don his uniform at the City Commission meeting Tuesday night.

Good call Mr. Doyon. But it's too bad it had to take a judge's ruling to enforce the people's will.

Doyon finally did something? No way.

The city charter does provide the city manager broad authority, as he can - as Lawton did - hire and fire police chiefs. If the city manager can be entrusted to do that, I think he's allowed to exercise guidelines here to protect the old commissioners and mayor from themselves and another lawsuit.

Don't get your hopes up. The law of total probability suggests it will be 2.8384 years before the next rational decision comes out of GF Silly Hall.
