Aaron, the city needs to 'stop the bleeding' of our city's funds and redirect police staff to their primary duties, including reinstating the downtown officer. City leadership has failed to follow through on their rhetoric to form a committee to solve the animal shelter problem and establish consensus and harmony.

We also can save police funds by stop putting numerous detectives on 'citizen watch' at public meetings. It's very inappropriate
and intimidating.

Good luck and thanks for your leadership to get a grocer downtown.

I agree, get rid of the plainclothes gestapo at our public meetings and walk the talk on the animal shelter. The money saved could be used to hire a real uniformed downtown cop......
