I can't say I didn't see it coming. Ever since John Lawton left, Coleen Balzarini has found herself more and more in the hot seat, answering questions and giving explanations about everything to do with SME, HGS and ECP. Each time she's gotten more defensive. Well tonight, she cracked.
Commissioner Jolley was asking her questions pertaining to the water rights files and other water right questions, when Ms. Balzarini started talking over Commissioner Jolley and in a less than professional manner. The mayor had to gavel order. After the exchange, Coleen sat down, but once the item was tabled, she got up and stomped out of commission chambers. Hot on her heels was her boss, Mr. Doyon. He came back without her, but he did not look like a happy camper.
I think Coleen found out tonight who's the boss.

Holy cow. I'm gonna have to start recording the meetings!
I think I left the meeting a tad too early!
Yes you did Aaron!
Jolley has a tendency to ask questions and talk over the voice of the person answering. Last night, she was just plain rude.
It's just a matter of time before one of the old guard feels the heat and turns over the goods. Lawton's dirty laundry will finally be exposed for the what is is.
Go Mary!

From what I saw on TV, Mary Jolley was simply responded to in-kind. She cannot publicly treat the staff like she did. Colleen should have kept her cool, however.
Mary Jolley does not understand the difference between asking difficult questions and just being difficult.
Amen to the last comment. Jolley is so busy playing "Gotcha!" that she loses sight of her purpose there. She displays her ignorance every time she opens her mouth.
She and Stewart Lewin belong together. Their arrogance is matched only by their ignorance.
ROTFLMAO, here come the city tools defending the actions of the Lawton leftovers.
Nice try. Mary knows her job as an elected official and is doing it well. Dona and the other bobbleheads are looking more foolish than ever.
I was wondering when the bed buddies of lawton and stebbins would show up and strike back. I think its pretty sad when ony one person stands up dor the law, and the ugly desiples have to put her down for doing what she was sworn in to do.
I think it is VERY refreshing to have someone like Mary on the commission! Go Mary! Keep up the GOOD work.
The 'bottom line' is that our city MUST have the files IN the building and not to 'fatigue the public into compliance' through delay and inconvenience.

Anon, get off the Lawton kool-aid. He is gone thank God!
Go Mary and manager Doyon, Democracy has retured to GF!
Mary is the first intelligent ray of sunshine in an otherwise stormy sea of ignorance!
