The handwriting on the wall is very clear. If you cross SME, you're toast.
Maybe the city knows this and that's why they are still hell-bent on supporting this project in spite of all the setbacks and internal game-playing, which has done nothing but erode trust in city government.
After all, we don't even have an agreement, and remember, Tim Gregori said we don't need one. If SME did what they did to Yellowstone Valley who did have a contract, what do you suppose they can/will do to us?

I wish we were toast.
I'm afraid of how burnt we're going to be by the time we are totally toast.
Tim's thrown grandma 'under the bus', his first loyal and true supporter.....so that's what loyalty gets ya, huh? I hope YYEC sues the pants off the rest of SME!
Consider the sources and imagine them to be cooperative and manipulative.
What “assets” does YVEC have in Highwood except for development costs for a plant to nowhere. Just like Great Falls they are carrying that cost as an asset. When some official finally declares the plant dead those “assets” will have to be booked as a loss.
By “insulating from further development costs” it's obvious that YVEC is cutting their losses now and guaranteeing that they will not be forced to buy above market “cost based power”.
The whole “Quit vs. kicked out” is a red herring to distract from the real issue, economics.
Great points, Anon.
continuing.....
Now I'm wondering if the real purpose of the ugly public divorce and creating a "new" corporation is to have the "partners" settle with YVEC by buying out their "assets"?
