I'm sure if you read the article in today's Trib. you weren't surprised to learn that the city's operation of the animal shelter is running in the....red. Now they have to dip into the reserves to cover the shortfall.
I hope I haven't forgotten any of the city fiscal involvements that have fallen short of success. If I have, let me know and I'll add them to the list:
- Lewis and Clark Bicentennial bash
- Swimming pools
- Golf courses
- Electricity
- Animal shelter
According to the mayor, "It'd be nice if we had a crystal ball,"
No, Ms. Mayor. It'd be nice if we had fiscally responsible leaders.

They are blaming the animal shelter takeover for most of the loss. You would that they could have used their heads abit, and seen if a small bump in funds could have helped the hscc before they decided to take over and make everyone mad, and lose money.
My sentiments exactly.
Elect low class social climbers witout a proper education and you are surprised by all this?
Anon:
No, I'm NOT surprised by all of this. That's why the post is entitled ANOTHER Fiscal Flop.
And by the way, one does not need a "proper education", whatever that means, to be fiscally responsible. Most of it boils down to common sense, which isn't so common anymore.
