You really don't understand the entire process, do you?

Anon 1:44, please elaborate, we're curious. It's never too late to
do the right thing, and if it saves taxpayers money if he future if we can retain some more water rights now - instead of paying 'downstream' - what's the jeopardy of fighting for something as valuable as water as other cities have? The city's 'track record' on bad lawsuits evident, this has merit and should have been done earlier is the only regret.

There is a post on ECW that very clearly states that this is a non-issue at this point. Check it out - it should clarify things for you.

Uh, Anon 9:10

Ya better go read there at ECW a bit yourself, It appears some folks posting there know much more than you and there are definitly major legitimate questions and concerns that need answering fast.

anon 9:10.....I appreciate the fact you value Geeguy's work and
water IS part of the ECP debacle.

ECW has other posts and check the other blogs on what citizens have had to do to even get the RECORDS, stored in Helena, and not in GF??? That's nuts, and city hall hasn't been forthright on all this, as PROVEN by Lawton's efforts to supress our RIGHT to records, meetings and more by fighting citizens in court, but the STATE COURT ruled citizens DO have rights and many of city's fiscal losses - and future consequences if we don't fight for our water - are tied to a lack
of transparency, and it's a struggle EVERY day for citizens to know what's really going on when city staff - and the consultants - are playing 'hide the salami' on all of us..........two words BELL, CALIFORNIA.

Publius II,
You are correct, we do have city hall which enjoys playing the game of, "hide the salami", with our citizens and to some extent with our elected leaders it seems. We had hoped for better with the new administration and leadership that came in this year. Alas, they are all now converted puppets of the staff and 'acting' city attorney Bill Bronson. How does one reverse that terrible situation with our form of local government? Pretty damn hard methinks!

There may be a glimmer of hope for our city after all. I have heard that the commission is actually going to study this serious matter a bit further - they better hurry- as time for action is very short.....

"First in time, first in line" That was/is the rule on water rights. So what happened here?
