On Friday, beginning at 9:00am, the County Commission will finalize its 2009-2010 budget. The public can comment to the Commissioners up until that time.

A minor point of clarification. The Public safety budget was $400,000 in the red at the end of last fiscal year (June 30,2009).
The proposed budget erases that debt and still provides the Sheriff an increased spending authority of 5.77% over last year.
Last years deficit was a combination of the Sheriff not meeting his revenue porojections and also exceeding his spending limits.
