At last week's City Commission meeting, it was brought to the attention of the Commission that the 2009-2010 budget is not sustainable.
Several funds were mentioned that are projected to lose money.
This came as quite a surprise to Commissioner Beecher. He continues to state that he believes this is a good budget and was upset that numbers were being tossed about in the manner that they were. He said he wants answers by the next meeting.

Commissioner Jolley reminded him that the numbers were being quoted from the city's budget and that the city continues to spend its reserves.
Commissioner Beecher continues to try his damnedest to discredit the public. Fortunately for the public, he hasn't a clue what he is talking about and he proves it every time.

It's good that he is not runing again. It appears he may need a little rest.
Anon....you are right. Bill needs to get some rest. He is a good man! I wish his last years on the commission had not been filled with so much contraversy. Some of course was brought on by his actions and those of other members of the commission. Never-the-less, Bill remained a calm force on the commission (for the most part) and I believe he did what he thought was best. There are those who disagree with some of his actions but I would hope everyone would agree that he tried to do the best he could.
Like fish in the market, there is an expiration date. The smell is getting bad.
