Gilbert Resigns

Citing health reasons, John Gilbert resigned last week from the ECP board.

This is unfortunate news for the citizens of Great Falls. Mr. Gilbert has been the only board member to ask questions. He was also the only member who has the accounting knowledge and background to critique Coleen's numbers.

Mr. Bob Pancich, a previous chair and current member of the board, indicated that Mr. Gilbert "did a great job. He dug in and asked questions".

Too bad the other members haven't performed their duty and done the same.

Mr. Gilbert will be missed. I wish him the best.

My pesonal thanks to Mr. Gilbert for his service. I would hope more of the board would ask the tough questions. Moral courage is just as vital in our local communities as it is in our military units.

He will be missed. He is a class act, and an incredibly capable public servant. We were lucky to have him when we did. Hopefully he has started things in motion that will lead to the right outcome.

I agree with GeeGuys assessment here. Even with his short tenure on the ECP board he brought wisdom and courage which has hopefully sparked some positive movement. Time will tell.

I too wish Mr. Gilbert the best for the future and a big THANKS for his professional public service.......
