No School Levy

In an article in today's paper, the school board has said they will not move forward with a tax levy. This is the first time in 10 years they have decided not to ask voters to approve a tax increase.

Given the state of affairs of the economy and the fact the city has indicated they will be asking voters to approve a public safety levy, I think this is a good idea.

The fact is, that it will cost them to even ask for a levy and they already know what the outcome will be.

Same as the safty issue. Unless they separate them, it will not pass either. Specially if gas goes up again like it did last year. People just can't afford it.

"if gas goes up again like it did last year."

Count on it. Although don't blame the oil companies. Oil trades globally in USDs. As Obama prints more money the cost of oil rises to cover the devaluation.

Change you can believe in.

No local 'bailout' levy for poor judgement and management at city hall......
