BREAKING NEWS

Highwood Station is NOT to be built.

According to Tim Gregori, due to an "aura of uncertainly," the coal-fired plant "just simply cannot be accomplished."

When has the word of tim meant anything?

Is the air permit still good?

Can we "SELL THE AIR PERMIT TOMORROW" Mr Rosenbaum? After all "THERE IS NO RISK"!!!

Will we ever be able to determine how much was lost in total or is 2million (dishonest answer) going to be the final answer.

What I read is that he is now going to engineer from scratch a gas plant and build it on the salem sight.

"coal remains his first choice for producing cheap electricity, but that would have to wait."

The coal will come "later".

"Some 50,000 rural electric cooperative customers in Montana who were going to use the power from the Highwood coal plant will be paying $30 per month for the next 35 years for the project costs so far"

So Far?!

50,000 x $30 per month is 1,500,000

1.5mil x 12 is 18mil per year

18mil a year for 35 years is 630mil

is that right?

I'd have to agree with the idiot thing.

Coal-fired power plant construction, even before CCS is factored in, is now running 3.5-4.0 million dollars to build.

Wind farms are now running 2.0-2.5 million dollars to build.

Perhaps Gregori finally did the math........

Lost as best I can tell
500,000 plus, NW Pennalty Payment
1.5 mil from city funds
500,000 from city funds (which?)
1.5 mil Bond
1 mil to buy the above bond.
228,000 to SME(overpayment of 2mil)
500,000 to bond council (owed?)

???,??? RW Beck, Stanley, Water Rights solutions, legal fees, fines.
But I will admit I am uninformed. Not by choice

SME needs to go green in their own backyard using their own resources and taking away their own framers and ranchers lands. We don't trust Gregori given his past lies and deceptions and unwillingness to place the blame for his problems where they belong - at his own front door.......

You all don't get it. This was a flim-flam akin to the "Music Man" all along. There was never going to be a coal plant built. The con was to take money for the "instruments & uniforms" and leave town.

While everyone celebrates the victory, Prof Tim will slip out of town with the spoils.

I'm not fooled.

Tim won’t go away . He will be back looking for more money to finance his next fiasco -

I think the name should be "fishy timmy".

as in somthing smells bad (dirty deal)and also the fishy flip flop.

calling fishy timmy an idiot is doing him a favor, it implies he simply made a stupid mistake.

while fishy timmy is not exempt from idiocy, he is far worse than an idiot.
