Back on November 7, Neighborhood Council 7 wrote this letter to the City Commission concerning the reassignment of the downtown police officer. Here is the Commissioners' response:

Each council should be encouraging a candidate for city commission, especially #7 and others who've been 'ridden over'.....maybe instead of minding the animal shelter, the police can return their focus to downtown perhaps and get the animal organizations working together in harmony...that's leadership.
