According to this story by KRTV, city manager Greg Doyon has asked for an audit of ECP.
This should be good news, but I'm not optimistic, yet. He didn't say who would be conducting it.
An audit of this fund needs an independent review, not the same kind of dog and pony show we went through with the documents.
If this is going to be an inside job, then Mr. Doyon is definitely right when he says the critics won't be silenced.

Who' indeed is right and this will not stop the citizens' right to know the 'rest of the story'...
The only thing an audit will show is what we already know, ECP is operating in the red and (probably) no one is embezzling funds.
Will the audit address the spin put on those numbers and explain how we went from we saved a million dollars to we are 2 million in the hole and borrowing to pay for the losses?
Who will be doing the audit? If it is done by an outside firm in no way connected to the city then I could believe the result, otherwise it is a waste of time and money......
I looked at the trib and found no story about the audit.
Am I missing it? Does the trib have a story?
Anon:
I did not find reference about the audit in the Tribune either.
The Trib was a bit behind the curve on this one. I talked to a commissioner, and it was the direction of the commission that this audit be conducted. It will be interesting.
