As reported last night, the police and fire levies failed by quite a fair margin. Unofficial results:

Police and fire personnel fine public servants, but many of the ads were 'over the top' and self-serving beyond belief I'm afraid. It was too much at one time and public safety numbers should have been raised over time for a better outcome, and city's attention not
distracted........
I have said this before and will now repeat. The city of GF budget priorities are all screwed up. When you fund ill thought out projects (ECP/HGS) that loose millions, the people eventually figure it out. They sent a LOUD message regarding these levies, but I'll bet you see little or no change at city hall!
We need a NEW commission elected this fall and they need to then RUN this city responsibly and clean out those whom do not intelligently serve the public of this city.....
